Compliance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define the requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of compliance: level A, level AA and level AAA.

Malemea is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level A. Partially compliant means that some parts of the content are not fully compliant with the accessibility standard.

Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 compliance at level A, we have also applied certain success criteria at level AAA: text images are only used for decorative purposes. Re-authentication after session expiry does not result in data loss. Some videos have sign language interpretation.

Known limitations for Malemea :
– Scrolling content on the mobile homepage: “slides” may lag when navigating with the keyboard because we cannot guarantee the quality of external contributions.
– Text colors: some texts do not have a sufficiently dark or light color in relation to the background due to a design constraint.
